Paul DePasquale

Paul DePasquale graduated from Berkeley Law School in 1970, and was admitted to practice in California in 1971. He was the elected District Attorney of Lassen County, California, from 1979 to 1983. He then came to Cotkin, Collins, Kolts & Franscell in L.A., where he specializing in the defense of law enforcement officers, including uses of force cases. He and Russ formed DePasquale and Cole in the early 1990's, and continued to distinguish himself as a trial attorney, representing clients in high profile and difficult matters, including the criminal prosecutions arising from the Rodney King incident and the L.A.P.D. Rampart scandal.

Russell Cole

Russell Cole graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1988, and was admitted to practice that same year. Since then, he has been involved in the representation of law enforcement and other government employees, as well as handling civil rights, discrimination and employment cases, in addition to a general civil litigation practice. He has handled numerous family law cases, involving dissolution of marriage and child custody/support cases. Mr. Cole has been trial counsel in numerous jury trials, including felony criminal cases, as well as civil actions, both for plaintiffs and for defendants. He is well regarded for his ability to manage cases through conclusion, whether by trial or by settlement.
